The Vision

A Vision for Financial Revival in the Church

Benny Traub

America has poured more money into God's work than any nation on earth. Despite the success, the need is still overwhelming.

The need is still overwhelming...

Church planters still find themselves under-financed. Evangelists in foreign lands still go hungry. Pastors in some countries are still being held hostage for ransom. Young children are still trafficked for the pleasure of evil men. The Great Commission is still incomplete. The poor still cry out.

The world needs wealthy Christians who shine as examples of God's goodness. They do this by displaying extraordinary generosity to the lost and those who are less fortunate.

Of course 'wealth' is relative. Almost everyone in North America would be considered wealthy by the billions of people who live in other lands. Yet there are those in the church who have been called to even greater wealth.

Many years ago I believed the mechanism for this wealth would be entrepreneurialism. I still believe it. If we activate and equip more entrepreneurs in the church, we can surely stimulate a financial revival so big that it can fund every mission, every vision, every assignment from the Lord.

Even if 'business' is not your thing, you can still be entrepreneurial and create extraordinary financial breakthrough as an inventor or investor. If you have the gift of giving, and are called to extravagant generosity, I encourage you to attend a Financial Revival conference and learn the principles of success, and how to break the mold. Get equipped to reach higher and lay hold of all that God has for you.

Secrets of Success...

In Peter Wagner's book, 'The Great Wealth Transfer', he says in 1992 many respected men and women of God began hearing the Lord speak about the fulfillment of Isaiah 60:11 (the wealth of the nations will be brought unto you).

I'm not sure if I was in that company of respected men and women, or if it was only a coincidence, that in 1992 I organized and led my first business conference at Trinity Western University in Canada. The event was called "Secrets of Success: How to Make more Money to Send the Gospel Around the World".

I figured that Isaiah didn't mean the wealth was literally going to be carried to us and laid at our feet, rather that an environment and season was on the way which would eventually allow us to attract wealth towards us. Not without hard work and education. Yet still dependant on the grace of God.

My desire in that first conference was to impart principles of success which could help entrepreneurs become even more successful. I also had a desire to cast vision for using our success as a way to fund the greater mission, not merely our own pleasures.

During that first conference, many entrepreneurs caught this vision for the first time in their lives. And legitimate vision was renewed in those who had suffered shame for having money when others did not. Before the event was over, $40,000.00 was committed to helping the poor and planting churches in small villages in Latin America.

Although I considered the event a success, I did not feel ready to lead more conferences. I had vision, but had never made a lot of money myself. Many years later, after creating a personal net worth that exceeded a 100 million dollars, I finally felt ready to once again begin promoting this vision.

The Financial Revival conference promotes the vision of the fulfillment of the Great Commission in our lifetime. I have seen a plan which makes this possible. But that plan will cost money.

I initially retired at age 37 after taking two of my companies public. The road leading up to this pinnacle of success was littered with hard work, hard knocks and trial by fire. I learned so many lessons along the way. Lessons that I knew could save others heartache and pain.

My mission now is not to help everyone make more money, nor to put us all in mansions. It is to activate and equip entrepreneurs in the church for the great and glorious purpose they were created.

A great season of harvest is upon us. We might not all reach billionaire status. But we are still responsible for what we are given.

It is my desire to inspire you to reach higher, and show you how to lay hold of the rungs. Not just add hope... but help you actually get there. Many may fail and falter along the way. But a few bright stars will most certainly shine through and accomplish unthinkable and impossible dreams.

Certainly talent, education & experience will play an important role. But we must recognize, as Mr. Rockefeller did, that the power to make money is a gift of God … to be developed and used to the best of our ability for the good of mankind.
